Most Underlined Buyer Review : Confused
Maybe there's something I'm not getting, but I purchased this book to help me cook WHOLE foods in an exciting way. I guess their definition of whole is very broad, but I really didn't want to be using things like mayonnaise and sugar in my cooking. One example of my confusion comes from an anecdote Ivy shares where she sees parents of a toddler fedding the child an organic, all natural cookie and when she goes to read the label she finds a ton of hidden sugar sources in it, her resulting disgust is understandable enough, except that then her cookbook proceeds to have almost every recipe include some form of sugar in it, and we're not even talking organic sugar, c'mon people, I didn't think powdered sugar was a whole food!

Great Recipes
This book is more than a cookbook. It's more like a health book with recipes. With the guidelines the authors provide, an individual should be able to know which recipes out there are healthy, or modify existing recipes to make them healthier. I've only tried one recipe so far, but it was good and the others seem delicious as well. And what makes this book different from other health food cookbooks is that it provides healthy recipes for special occasions such as St. Patrick's Day and Thanksgiving. I don't think the authors had any control over this, but the only thing I would change is I would add pictures of the finished meals. It would help visual people like me.
