BRIGGS: LOVE, CANCER, AND THE MEDICAL PROFESSION (Petition Signed by Over 20 Stars) Explanation

April, 2013 edition. The related petition, with a path for ending cancer now, has been signed by over 20 stars of film, media, and sports including Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper, director Ken Burns, journalist Meredith Vieira, Naomi Watts, Elle Macpherson, and tennis legends Billie Jean King and Chris Evert.

Not quite like any other romance, the love story that runs through the book has been universally embraced: "Does anyone remember LOVE STORY from the 70's with Ali & Ryan? This is a real updated love story with real people, real emotions, and honest facts. There has never been a woman on the Planet who didn't want to be loved this completely and faithfully. This story could have had a happy ending if Paul had learned the information in the book at the beginning of the journey, so he's provided a road map for those who follow."

As a cancer patient or caregiver, this book should enable you to take control that may be life-saving: "As a retired nurse, I understand too well the unnecessary deaths caused by the way our medical establishment works and the greed of the pharmaceutical companies! I will continue to believe that one day chemo and radiation will be eradicated and considered another dark age treatment! This book is a must read for everyone!! We need this type of information long before something happens because in the throes of it one becomes so drained they cannot decide which way to go!!"

A different kind of memoir: "I've never known a love this great. And you do know it so well after reading about all their adventures. Crazy things. They're so funny and supportive of each other, and so cool together." / "You are transported around the world with this adventerous duo...READ THIS, LEARN FROM IT, JOIN THE FIGHT, SIGN THE PETITION, REJOICE AND WEEP FOR THE LOVERS."

Most Underlined Buyer Review : Food for thought
Paul Sanderson raises some very interesting questions concerning current medical procedures. Everyone concerned about health care and patient choice should read this book. It truly is a "must read."

Review
This is the most poignant love story I have ever read. I'am 60 yrs. and have been an avid reader since I was a child. This surpasses all that I have ever read. I recommend to every one involved with fighting this horrendous battle.

Convinced
I have already decided that I will never subject myself to the poison of chemotherapy should I ever get cancer. It seems contradictory to think of becoming healthy or well by poisoning yourself. Not only that, but having already spent quite a long time at a University hospital, having almost died some 39 years ago, I experienced much of the uncaring attitudes by the professionals employed there. I experienced downright sadism against me. Having had my eyes opened to this by experience, I have turned to alternative, healthful ways to care for my own body. My heart aches for Paul and for the loss of Briggs, and the helplessness that Paul encountered which ended in such sadness, but I thank him for his example of love and dedication, and for continuing to fight for people to know the truth, and that there is an effective treatment for cancer that has been suppressed. May we all sign the petition, and see Immunotherapy take the place of chemotherapy. Thank you, Paul, for the book,...
