I bought this book because of the positive reviews and I need help losing weight after 10 years of hypothyroidism. I don't think anyone edited this book because he contradicts himself in several places:

He says do not eat fruit or fruit juice or sugar of any kind and yet on week 2 he says to have fruit smoothies! Plus, he says to use whey protein powder. It is almost impossible to find a whey protein powder that doesn't have SOY in it and soy is definitely forbidden. If you read the label as he continually tells us to do, you will see that the powder contains soy!

No PUFAs. Yet he says to eat salmon and tuna and nuts which are all sources of PUFAs. PLUS, he says don't eat tuna because of the mercury and yet, tuna is on the Detox diet!

No legumes. Yet he has black beens on the detox diet. Plus he says eat hummus it comes in many different flavors. HELLO hummus is made from chickpeas (legumes) plus if you read the label, it has soybean oil in...
