Most Underlined Buyer Review : Concise View of Big Problem
This smallish book deals with one of the most pervasive problems in modern society - chronic shoulder and elbow pain. The problem is increasingly compounded by modern lifestyles and working behaviors and the author addresses many of those problems directly, offering some simple, postural protocols to alleviate pain. The 'exercises' are not difficult and the directions are easy to understand. If the book has a weakness it's the very brevity of the text. This is a smallish book and it covers only a fraction of the shoulder/elbow issues one might face. As such, it may or may not address your particular concern. The information is solid, well researched, and helpful. On the flip side, there's nothing earth shattering here, and there's far too little content.

A Simple Miracle
I met Rick February 6, 2010. Four months and three of his fixing you books later I can say I am a different person.

I came to rick with a pretty complex shoulder issue. I had torn my labrum (cartilage)in August 2008 and after 7 months and countless Orthopedic/Physical Therapy opinions later I was going under the knife. The surgery was a success and so was my 6 months of rehab.
Did I mention I am a certified Pilates Instructor?

So 6 months later I was doing pilates and felt something shift in my shoulder socket. One month later an MRI confirmed another Labral tear in the same shoulder in a different spot. The orthopedic surgeon could only suggest going back in to repair it again. I was HOPELESS!! How could this happen again? Why couldn't anyone help me figure out why this kept happening?

Then, in Feb 2010, a peer introduced me to Rick. Before my appointment I read his book on neck pain to familiarize myself with his methods. When Rick...

It sure helped me.
After six months of shoulder pain and two months of prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs that did not help, I got this book on shoulders. It clearly explained what was wrong in terms of how muscles, tendons and joints all work together, and it gave exercises to do to improve functioning and reduce pain. The video demonstrations of the exercises on the accompanying web site really helped explain how to do them correctly. I did the exercises just a little -- three times each every other day -- and in a couple of weeks I felt 85% improvement. Now I'm doing them more often and hoping to regain complete use of my shoulder and arm. I was amazed.
